We took delivery the second A310-308F -one of the three A310-308F that purchased from Emirates SkyCargo in August- on December 1st, 2008 and the aircraft arrived at Ataturk International Airport on the same day at 23:30 UTC.
The aircraft had its C Check completed in Dubai, and will be registered as TC-SGM in Turkey. After that the A310-308F will start Scheduled, Charter and ACMI Operations between İstanbul, the Middle East, Europe and Asia on the company’s regular commercial activities.
The aircraft was manufactured in 1992 and converted from passenger to cargo use at the end of 2006 by Airbus. It’s capacity is 40 tonnes. The last A310-300F’s delivery is planning in January 2009 to KUZU. As a result the company fleet will rise to seven aircraft and total capacity will rise to about 300 tonnes by the end of the year.
